Description
Dextrose 1AQ, also known as D-Glucose Monohydrate, is a natural simple sugar (monosaccharide) belonging to the aldohexoses. It consists mainly of glucose molecules and contains one equivalent of water (monohydrate form). Dextrose is produced by enzymatic hydrolysis of starch (mostly from corn) and is a white, crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water. In the industrial context, it is often referred to as Dextrose Monohydrate or Dextrose 1AQ (“1 water equivalent”).
