Description
Titanium dioxide is a white, fine inorganic powder widely used as a white pigment worldwide. It is particularly valuable because of its high hiding power, clarity and UV resistance. Because of these properties, titanium dioxide is one of the most widely used white pigments in industrial Applications. It is mainly extracted from minerals such as ilmenite and rutile and is available in several crystal forms, of which rutile and anatase are the most important for industry.

Applications
Titanium dioxide is applied in various ways, for instance:
1. Cosmetics & Personal Care
Titanium dioxide is widely used in sunscreen products as a physical UV filter. It also plays a role in makeup, foundations, powders and toothpaste as a dye and thickener.
2. Plastics Industry
It is used in plastics to whiten products, provide UV protection and extend their life. Consider plastic window frames, packaging and film. It prevents discoloration and degradation caused by sunlight.
3. Paint & Coatings Industry
Titanium dioxide is used as a white pigment in paints and coatings because of its high hiding power, color strength and weather resistance. It provides durable protection against UV radiation and ensures color retention.
4. Paper Industry
In paper, it provides higher whiteness, better opacity and increased gloss. Applications include high-quality printing paper and packaging materials.
