Description
Lithopone is a white inorganic pigment consisting of a mixture of barium sulfate (BaSO₄) and zinc sulfide (ZnS). It is used as a filler and white pigment in paints, plastics, rubber and printing inks, among others. Lithopone is a cost-effective alternative to titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and is valued for its high hiding power, chemical stability and compatibility with a variety of matrix materials.
