Applications
Iron sulfate is applied in various ways, for instance:
1. Chemical Industry
Used as a reductor in various chemical syntheses and at the production of other iron compounds or pigments.
2. Agriculture & Horticulture
Serves as an iron source at treating iron deficiencies in crops (chlorosis). Also used at moss control on lawns.
4. Water Treatment
Applied as a coagulant or precipitant in drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, especially for the removal of phosphates, heavy metals and suspended solids.
5. Construction
Added to cement and concrete to obtain a natural yellow or brownish color and improve workability.
