Applications
Sodium tripolyphosphate is applied in various ways, for instance:
1. Food Industry
Sodium triphosphate is used as a food additive E451(i) in, among other things: processed meat and fish products to retain moisture; cheese products as a melting salt; and instant products to improve texture and shelf life.
2. Water Treatment
NTPP prevents corrosion and scale formation in industrial water circuits and boilers. It attenuates the chemical stability of water.
3. Cleaning Products Industry
In detergents and cleaners, NTPP is used for its water-softening and emulsifying properties. It increases the efficiency of detergents and prevents scale formation.
4. Other Sectors
In ceramics and Textile Industry as a dispersant; In paper and leather processing; and in Cosmetics, such as toothpaste and shampoos.
